This week, I’m thankful this for the magic that Halloween brings to a little boy; for neighbours who dress up their yards and windows making evening walks a joy and a scary surprise for young eyes; for the nearby cemetery that honours the process of death in an annual artistic installation and community gathering; for friends who host cosy yet lively Halloween parties that include fireworks, sparklers and hot food; for a flimsy $2 sword that transformed a dreary afternoon; for Skype, which makes chats with my cousin in Edinburgh possible; for the adoptive mothers I meet regularly; and a special nod to the weather Gods for granting us a rare sunny day today to enjoy the colourful leaves one last time.
What are you feeling grateful for this week?

Extra sleep on the weekends cause hubby gets up early with the kid.
