Today I’m grateful that I got to wake up the pitter patter of little feet, feel him climb into my bed, roll all over me and hear him say, “Get Up! I want pancakes!” I’m grateful that I got to watch him pajama-clad, crouched on the floor playing with his trains, a plastic sword tucked in the back of his shirt, pine needles scattered through his hair. I’m grateful I got to watch him run around in the mud with three little friends and a dog, and that vanilla ice cream makes him outrageously happy. I’m grateful for the tiniest things because my child is alive and safe and well.

in the midst of what is going on in the world around us, thank you for sharing your thoughts on gratitude … we have to cherish what we have especially now!
I am grateful for the snuggles that I get and my upcoming Christmas holidays. Yeehaw!
You poet. Thank you for this.
